Just typing this up 'cuz it's interesting info to me as a believer of Jesus Christ.

Regarding Biblical Prophecies:

Cover the state of Texas with 100 million billion silver dollars and the pile would be two feet high. Mark one of the silver dollars and toss it into the pile. Blindfold a friend and give him one chance to pick up the marked silver dollar. The odds of your friend selecting the one marked silver dollar are the same as one person fulfilling only eight of the numerous prophecies. Mathematicians calculate the probability of fulfilling forty-eight prophecies as the number one followed by 157 zeros.

Fulfilled Prophecies:

What are the odds that all the Old Testament prophecies could be fulfilled in one man? Nigh impossible. And yet Christians believe they were. Mathematicians have calculated the odds of just one man fulfilling only eight prophecies at 100 million billion. Yet, Jesus has supposedly fulfilled a few hundred prophecies - with more expected in the future.

Biblical Accuracy:

The New Testament has close to 25,000 manuscripts in existence today, the most of any ancient document. The second most belongs to the singer-poet Homer's Iliad with 687 copies. The more manuscripts of a document that exist, the easier it is to reconstruct the original.

With 687 manuscripts, all scholars agree that Homer's Iliad is 95% accurate; the remaining 5% concerns differences in word order. With nearly 25,000 copies of the New Testament, we have close to a 99% reconstruction. Textual criticism is not conerned with particular beliefs or the accuracy of the text's content, but only with the accurate reconstruction of ancient manuscripts. The more manuscripts of a particular document you have, the closer to the original you can come.
